Perhaps our reason for being is not to simply reproduce and work, but to experience the joy and wonder of it all.

This is the second in the series and I think I like this one more than the first. Each one gives you something different tho. The first is about gratitude for what you have and finding out just what you want. This one is about that Something more you know is missing from your life. While she was divorced when she wrote this book , there is something here for everyone. This book helped me alot when I was going thru my divorce because I didn't know who I was at that point, I had been married many yrs and literally had to start over. This one makes you think about that but it could be used by anyone who has lived awhile and feels there's got to be more and how to help you find it...whatever that is for you.

You may have a beautiful home, a family you adore, and work that you enjoy. But why do you secretly sense that you need something more to be truly happy?

I love this book. Ive had it for yrs and find it to be timeless. To me its a book about finding yourself, the real you. She does it in a daily journal style so its easy to just read a bit and put down. It has become one of those books like my Bible, where when I'm feeling down or just need an answer, I pick it up and always find lil things that make me think about what I'm going thru at that moment. Some might find the things she talks about very girly and Martha-like but they are just suggestions. You have to find your own things that make you happy. But in the end its about learning how to be grateful for what you have. You cannot appreciate what wonderful things are in your life right now , if you don't know how to look for them.

With the grace of Anne Morrow Lindbergh's Gift from the Sea and the wisdom of M. Scott Peck's The Road Less Traveled, Simple Abundance is a book of 366 evocative essays -- one for every day of your year -- written for women who wish to live by their own lights.

In the past a woman's spirituality has been separated from her lifestyle. Simple Abundance shows you how your daily life can be an expression of your authentic self...as you chose the tastiest vegetables from your garden, search for treasures at flea markets, establish a sacred space in your home for meditation, and follow the rhythm of the seasons and the year. Here, for the first time, the mystical alchemy of style and Spirit is celebrated. Every day, your own true path leads you to a happier, more fulfilling and contented way of life - the state of grace know as...Simple Abundance.

This is to me a 5 star place for price and value. I had an awesome royal dinner in a wonderland setting with belly dancers as entertainment. The one we had that nite danced balancing a sword on her head! For an evening of fun and entertainment not just a dinner. http://www.tanjias.com/
